Staycation @ Village Hotel Katong
Wassup people! It's my last week of holiday before the real shit begins for school - last term for the semester and off I go for a 6 months internship (WITH NO BREAKS IN BETWEEN) and I'll be graduated. It's gonna be a long and tough journey but I know I'll get through it (I just hope it won't be THAT hard).
A couple of days ago I went on a 2D1N Staycation with my omakase princesses at Village Hotel Katong. We paid $66 per person for a room like this(which I'd say is pretty awesome!!):
Started the day by meeting my gals at Aljunied MRT Station and taking a bus to the hotel. Took a while to find it and when we did it was actually just in the shopping mall the whole time (k stupid). Checked in and the service by the front desk people was awesome - really warm, welcoming and professional!
Unpacked our stuff quickly and off we went to the nearby NTUC to buy snacks to last us through the night!! We bought a total bill of $50+ LOL don't ask what we bought (anyway I think we managed to finish all the snacks so everything's good ya).
Since it was gonna be a tedious journey, we took a cab down to the Former Turf City to fetch our Taiwan meimei off from work! Then we had Veganburg for lunch!! Omg I finally tried Veganburg and I'd say it's nice but not very worth the price. The set meal consisted of a burger + chilled broccoli or french fries + drink for a bill of $11.80. But I think I'd go back again...for the broccoli HAHA
We then went to Stadium for ice-skating!!! I LOVE ice-skating. I picked it up rather quickly during my first visit and during this second visit, I could skate without holding on already! It was uber fun!!
It was 7.30pm when we finished skating and we had to rush for our K session at 8pm!! Took a cab down again as usual (LOL rich peopleS).
We ordered pizza in for dinner coz we sang from 8pm to 1am straight - that's 5 hours!!! But considering we had a fair number of people it was just enough for everyone to sing hehe. It was SO FUN coz we kept doing stupid things. One example would be:
When we were done with our K session we went back to the hotel!! Which was only a few minutes' walk away, very convenient!! Haha. Slacked around for a bit and took photos (!!) before we decided to shower and by the time we were all done it was already 3/4am.
Took a long while to start up our movie coz we couldn't find proper subtitles and we wanted to watch films that would make us cry WTF LOL. Settled for 唐山大地震 and when we finally started the movie it was already frigging 5am LOL (I fell asleep at 6am++ coz I was too tired omg) and I didn't finish the movie....apparently they cried at the ending and I didn't watch!!! K ohwellz.
Everyone slept for a while and we woke up at about 9am plus? Began eating all the leftover stuff we bought (as breakfast lol) and nuaing around~ and taking random pictures and playing poker and taking turns to shower and pack up!
Checked out (finally) at 2pm and went off to Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee for lunch!! Mainly coz I was craving it so much hehehe. It has this magic to it where you'll be "oh it's just normal noodles" when you're eating it but when you leave you're gonna be like "I NEED ANOTHER BOWL PLZ" yup
Caught an impromptu movie TFIOS with them and two of them cried like crazy I kept hearing sniff sniff~ hahaha but I cried too (for a second time lol)... Boo it's sad even though the book makes me sadder. Which movie is ever better than the book anyway? Yup none. So READ THE BOOK PEEPS!!!

It was an uber uber uber awesome 2D1N spent with these people and I really cannot ask for more! I'm soooo glad I met them through work - people who you can work with, people who understand your complains at work, people who share your woes, people who can take jokes and insults, people who accept you for who you are, people who are just like family!! ♥♥
I don't know when we'll have another outing like this and I don't know if we'll still have time for each other but no matter what I want you all to know that I cherish this friendship so much and never will I wanna stop seeing you guys! Even when we leave our part-time job I hope we'll still find time to meet :-) And definitely looking forward to overseas trips with you all MUACKS MUACKS
