I was influenced into liking Stef Sun because my elder sister is a mega mega fan of her. When I was young, all I heard at home was Stef Sun's songs on replay. No matter what my sister was doing (studying, surfing the net, playing The Sims) she would play Stef Sun's songs in the background. And eventually, without even really looking at the lyrics and whatnot, I found myself being able to sing each and every of her song lol.
It is of no doubt that she's a really good singer and because of her I'm really proud to say I'm Singaporean! Who says Singapore can't have our very own talent? She's totally our 国宝 and I'm so happy to have been there that night - to see for myself her talent, her responsibility (because she was feeling unwell but sang so well nonetheless), her spontaneity and her love for her home.
She's the first singer to hold a concert at the newly renovated Singapore Sports Hub! I feel it's very apt since she's a true blue Singaporean :-)

The stadium's ventilation was pretty bad and it was super warm. They provided a fan for everyone (how thoughtful) but really it was too hot! I feel the Indoor Stadium is a better venue for concerts...the audio system didn't sound very good here as well.

She had several costumes throughout the night and it all looked a little bit hideous (IMO) but I loved her orange head so much!

The stage lighting was super nice I couldn't resist not taking a few shots (attempted at bokeh shots haha)
She had a really bad throat that night and had to keep drinking water. At one point she stopped and said that she's very worried that her voice wouldn't last her till the last song. And the fans kept cheering her on and on and she didn't disappoint us at all. #respect
It was really like a huge KTV session for everyone that night because her songs are simply just too classic and KTV-worthy. Also because she had a bad throat, she kept stopping in between to rest and we just filled in the blanks for her, super love the feeling of everyone singing along together to her songs!
I enjoyed myself most when she sang 《第一天》 coz everyone was really very high!! Jumped up and down to the melody and her singing and it was super super fun. A little regret for not bringing light sticks though!! (I feel every concert should give out free light sticks like Mayday's hahaha)
Towards the end of the concert..she sang "We Will Get There" and "One Singapore" and it was really epic because her concert was held pretty close to National Day. And it was really touching because everyone was singing along with her! Goes to show how patriotic we all actually are? Hahaha #proudmoment

Even as I watch back I feel goosebumps all over me..missing those school days where we'd celebrate National Day and sing along to these National Day songs...what about now?? Aiyo don't even know what songs already!
Really glad I went to watch her that night. It proved to me how worthy she is to be Singapore's 国宝. Her personality also showed how a big star should portray oneself. She also made me really really proud to be a Singaporean. Thank you Stefanie Sun for the wonderful night and for all the amazing songs you've brought to us :-)
