欢“杜”圣诞 2014

It was my family's annual Christmas party on 20 December and this time round we held it at Bukit Batok Clubhouse instead of Blk 26 coz we wanted to explore different venues and hopefully settle down somewhere suitable eventually.

We had it planned way in advance to hold our party there because 1) there would be more space 2) it was cheaper as compared to other chalets 3) closer to us in terms of location. However, when we arrived there that day, we were a little disappointed and at a loss of how the party was going to go on smoothly because there was a major lack of space.

this is an example of how it looks like

There were different types of villas and this picture shows one that is a tad bigger than ours, which goes to show how small ours is! We had to make do with the little space we had and it kind of spoiled the plans a little, but I'm glad things still went smoothly in the end.

So we started to decorate the place and move the furniture a little so we could maximise the space available.

tadaah! gifts + tree corner + photo taking backdrop!

In the end the decoration turned out really nice!! So satisfied with our effort!!

Slowly..we cleaned up the place and waited for people to turn up!

Registration Counter!

Our very inconspicuous registration counter because it started to rain(what bad luck)!! So we had to make do with this very tiny table inside the living room. Obviously everyone who came couldn't spot it so we had to shout for them to come register and get their lucky draw coupon... aiyo very failed starting but aren't we very professional? Still got name list and lucky draw stubs ok!

So in the process of registration and waiting for everyone to arrive, those who came first had a chance to take pictures at our photobooth! Free polaroids to be given out!!

picture of the backdrop filled with polaroids!!

my family at the photobooth!

Sooo.. after everyone arrived, it was dinner time!!!

catered food for the night!

yep had to spill out of the chalet boundary coz it was just sooo small?!?!

And it was the most anticipated moment of the night (for me)!! Photo taking session!! I was very excited for it I even brought my sister's tripod stand hahaha and it was of very good use! Okay I'm sometimes a very bhb person and most of my friends will know how much I like to talk about my family (lol) because I'm very proud of them la!! Of course I can't wait to show you guys how huge my family is...not that I want to be haolian about it but many of my friends have told me how amazed they were looking at the pictures so no joke okay!

tadaah!!!!

So glad I brought the tripod stand along coz this shot is so nicely taken! Obviously we spent a super long time organising everyone and getting everyone ready for the photo... But anyway yes this is my Toh family!! /proud moment/

And the games began! We started with 1) Bingo Bongo 2) Mahjong Madness and 3) Ping Pong.

I don't really have pictures coz I was busy recording videos...so anyway, just present you with the winners of the games ya!! Basically the games go like this..

Bingo Bongo - I'm sure all of you know how to play Bingo so let's skip the rules for that! We improvised the game in such a way that people had to purchase the bingo slips! One was sold for 50 cents and the maximum number of slips one could purchase was 4 which amounts to $2. All these money will be kept in a piggy bank and the person who wins Bingo will get to win all that money. Yep it's gambling but..super fun!

Mahjong Madness - It was also a normal mahjong game where my 4 aunts are the ones playing and leading their groups. In order to play the game, the group members had to pick up mahjong tiles in a bucket filled with ice water with their feet. It was a hilarious scene to watch because the water was really really cold! The group that wins the mahjong game wins!

Ping Pong - it was a container with an elastic band strapped to it. Inside the container are 2 ping pong balls. They will have to tie the containers to their waists and jump or shake (in whatever manner they like) until they get the ping pong balls out of the container! As usual, first group that manages it wins.

(you can use this for your camp games okay hahaha)

3 winners for Bingo Bongo!

The group that won Mahjong Madness!

And they won Ping Pong!

Sorry for the lousy image quality coz it was really dark at night and I can't be bothered to edit the pictures okay bb.

After the games we proceeded with gift exchange!!

everyone went home with something!

Lastly was lucky draw! It was quite an exciting moment coz everyone wanted to win something! It was also hard for our emcee to host the lucky draw coz everyone was just too chatty and excited, haha kudos to my cousin for being able to do it!

emcee for the day!

congrats all winners of lucky draw!

Cleared up the place quickly and most left about 11+ at night. It was such a fun night I really love my family so much!! Everything seems to be a lot funnier with them around because they are all blessed with humor genes (I guess that's where I got mine too) LOL

Lastly, I will leave you guys with a video I specially made for the occasion to sum up the event! I spent quite a long time and if any of you watched the one I made last year..you will be pretty amazed with the one I made this year coz quality up x100 okay!! Okay there you go and bye!
