[Review] Storm in a Cocoon

Having a strong urge to blog something but recently I have no motivation to. No topic to talk about. Ugh.

Been catching a new TVB drama recently which I like a lot. Storm in a Cocoon - talks about the 1920s when folk customs were still very conserved and they believed in values such as when you kill someone you've to die no matter what if not there'll be injustice and there were many traditional moral values that modernism will find funny. However, you feel for the people then, their loyalty and how they take feelings very seriously.

Throughout the show I feel so much for women. In that era, women had low statuses. Their only dream in life is to be able to find a good man to marry. If you've chosen a bad guy, that's it, there is nothing you can do because you have to follow your man forever. If your man passed away, you'll have to be a widow forever as well. Women have no right to speak and it was a very sexist generation. I am so glad I am born in an era where there is equality.

A drama that talks about business ethics, love, kinship, friendship, betrayal, loyalty and how the main lead goes through many many obstacles just to save the reputation of his family's business.

Highly recommended for any TVB lovers :-)

Embedding the sub-theme song which I like a lot for you guys hehe.
